Today, I went to the center of Beijing to see hutongs (small traditional alleys). Hutongs layout dates from the Yuan Dynasty (14th century). They were more than 6000 hutongs in the 1950s but due to the fast development of the city, this number is considerably decreasing.
Walking around hutongs could be an original way to discover Beijing, indeed it's not everyday that you have the chance to experience the traditional hutong life. That's just amazing.
